LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

Well, here we are at the last few days of school for 2014-2015!  Where did THAT year go?

Today, Wednesday, is Graduation, so school will be dismissed for K-8 at 11am.

Tomorrow, Thursday, is PIRATE DAY - so dress like a pirate, and get ready for some swashbuckling fun!

Friday is the last day, and students will be bringing home their last report card for the year, as well as work they have done through the year.  Dismissal will be at 12 noon.

Thank you for your support through the year - I wish all of my students well.  Keep reading and writing through the summer!

WEEK 37

Well, two more weeks to go!

Today, Monday, we had a wonderful presentation of songs and learning from the group called the Celtic Rathskallions.  Each student was asked to bring in $3 to cover the cost of this special program.

The rest of the week is on the regular schedule, except for Friday, when we will have our annual Field Day, with activities throughout the day inside the school.  Make sure your child has indoor sneakers to wear for the challenges, please.

Best news of all?  No more homework!!!

This week, on Wednesday, the 3rd of June, regular Kindergarten students will stay home and let the September Kindergarten students get a taste of what school is like.

Thursday morning we will have a program put on by the Saint John String Quartet.

Thursday night we will have our Art show in the cafeteria.  Please come and experience the painting and drawing prowess of our K-5 students.  We have asked each student to bring in a couple medium sized cans of food to prop their projects on for viewing.  These cans will then be donated to the Food Bank.  Doors open at 6:30pm.

For the rest of the year I will concentrate on writing in class.  Students are becoming awesome readers, and writing will come along as well, I am sure.
